Case Automotive
Success proves us right
For our customer from the automotive industry we produce stainless steel deep drawn pots with integrated axle as mono-block components used in water pumps for electric vehicles (EV).
The product
1
Our customer from the automotive industry needs pots with an internal axle that holds a rotor. Up to now, pot and axle have been joined in a centered position by soldering. The customer's wish was to produce a one-piece component to avoid welding. Deep drawing is the ideal technology for this purpose.
The requirements
2
The size of the component required larger presses than were previously available. For this reason, we initially developed tools as prototypes for larger presses on behalf of the customer. After practical tests at both the customer's and the end customer's premises, our client decided on a tool that is ideally suited for the production of the component in series. In addition to the manufacturing we also take over the testing: Using the most modern testing systems, every component is checked in-house for dimensional accuracy and tightness before it is packed fully automatically and directionally aligned and then passed on to the customer for final use.
The solution
3
We are proud of this project. No other deep drawing manufacturer was able to produce the component. We accepted the challenges and successfully mastered them with the help of a specially developed press. The finished component and the satisfaction of our customer prove us right.
